Schubart’s new jewelry trends from recycled precious metals, grenadilla and silicon

By Kristina Flesner

“We have always been sustainable in everything we do,” says Thomas Schubart. Quality and highest precision are no contradiction to sustainability, but on the contrary!

The goldsmiths Schubart is known far beyond the borders and stands for unique, timeless but modern design. Only precious metals that are already in circulation are processed and refined again to fine gold, fine silver and fine platinum. Schubart has its very own high-quality alloys.

For example, there is no yellow gold at Schubart, only a warm rose gold tone that flatters the skin. The long chain is actually two chains. You can wear one short on your neck or connect two to make one long chain.

Also with diamonds and colored stones rose gold looks very noble. Schubart is known for large bangles. You’ve probably noticed my large bangle before. The bangels come in different shapes, heights and widths, but each one is a statement in itself.

Schubart’s gray gold appears highly noble and restrainedly fine and also flatters the skin.

I especially like the gray gold with aquamarine stones. The large ring with the rectangular set stone is definitely still on my wish list.

Also decorative are the cufflinks.

The platinum shines at Schubart and is unbeatable in combination with diamonds. The sterling silver shines particularly white.

For some time now, the goldsmith has also discovered a love for other materials. Grenadilla is one of the hardest woods, aged for years, and is usually used by select instrument makers to make handcrafted clarinets. Schubart works it with goldsmithing precision into extraordinary bangles and rings. The almost black and slightly purple hue of grenadilla looks especially good in combinations of platinum with diamonds and rose gold with selected colored gemstones.

Here I am wearing a ring with grenadilla with rose gold and a colored stone.

Here, among other things, a bangle made of grenadilla. The large ring develops its effect through the cut, which is otherwise only used in the processing of diamonds.

Silicon, a single crystal, of the highest purity is actually used in this exceptional and valuable quality for the production of computer chips. Goldsmith Schubart knots the perfectly cut spheres with silk and combines them with matching color sphere locks in gray gold and sterling silver.

Here in gray gold still a wide link bracelet and a ring in snake design set with diamonds.

Schubart also combines many pieces of jewelry with leather. This makes pieces look more casual, cooler and not so massive. This symbol radiates so much positivity. It reminds me of a sun and a flower at the same time. Here I’m wearing the plain version.

The alternative is the setting of diamonds in the center of the pendant, which is still slightly larger in the whole. Made entirely according to the wishes of the customer.

A leather bracelet with a clasp concise in size and simple in design. I have not yet gone into detail about the rings. Schubart stands for statement rings in the most diverse form.

Sustainable in every respect, including employees and customers, and of course in the extraction of stones (as previously reported). You can see more pieces on the website. Goldsmith Schubart is looking forward to your personal visit in the Schwadowarkaden at Blumenstraße 28 or in the Altstadt at Kapuzinergasse 18 in Düsseldorf or your call +49 211 325927.

Have a nice Sunday!
