“Rich Dragon” by Meissen – Table decoration tone in tone and yet so rich in contrast

By Kristina Flesner

Old porcelain stylishly and modern covered. Contrasts and breaks make an outfit but also a table decoration really interesting.

The decor “Rich Dragon” by Meissen is one of my favourites. This series is available in different colours. I have decided on the yellow variant for the starter plate and everything is suitably set in yellow, summery, sunny. The dinner plate with gold rim is from Limoges.

The service looks splendid. To make it look more modern, I have chosen a very simple cutlery in gold, which is very en vogue at the moment. The Leitner placemats by Gabriele Hofer take up the yellow tones wonderfully in the pattern.

I discovered the Starman vases in gold in a gallery. I find them so cool and they offer just the right contrast to the old porcelain to make it look stylish and extraordinary. Not many flowers are needed for this. It works all by itself.

Tea lights in taupe and gold inside pick up the colour scheme again.

The simple wine glasses from Riedel and the yellow water glasses also make the appearance modern.

I hope you like this set table as much as I do and wish you a sunny Tuesday!!!
