Over many centuries the fortress of St. Tropez resisted many pirates, bandits and foreign sea powers. However, on Wednesday evening it already lost the first battle: Rock legend Tom Jones – who is called the “tiger” by his fans – took the stage together with his band by storm.
The scenary is breathtaking! Tom Jones enters the stage directly next to the fortress of St. Tropez with a stunning view over the gulf. The small arena with only for 400 seats has the nice atmosphere of a family concert. Under the open sky and full moon Tom Jones plays all of his hits be it Sex Bomb, Green Green Grass of Home, Delilah or Kiss. His music is bridging more than three generations; even our son is fascinated! The elegant English Lady behind tells me that her mother has thrown her slips on the stage in the early Tom Jones concerts. I am sure that the tiger is immortal!
