Miriam Lahnstein (41) has a very easy and casual style. She seems very relaxed. In contrast to her catty characters as an actress she is a very sympathic, nice and an open person in real life.

In the interview we have recently had, she is telling about her work as an actress and style.

Miriam, how did you become an actress?

I started to be on stage during my schooldays.

There was a casting for a TV movie and so my career has started.

What is your favourite fim reel?

I like playing the beast most.

In general I prefer film reels with strong or extreme charakters. The lovely, nice and romantic figures I like less.

What are the most fascinating part of your profession?

I have the chance to experience situations, which I would have never met as Miriam.

For example I drove with a Ferrari with 200 km/h over a blocked highway, in the meanwhile I know very well, how to crack door lockers, I have married seven times and I overcame myself to make horse riding, although I have big respect for horses.

What would have been your favourite reel?

I would have had a lot of fun in the reel of Jennifer Garner in the series „Alias“.

Your favourite actress?

There are many.

What means style for you?

I admire people with a good feeling for style.

It is important to me to care about yourself and fortunately we have the possibility to wear different styles and look nice with it.

How would you describe your favourite style?

Sportive, easy, casual.

In my film reels I am often wearing feminin and outstading clothes so that I need to create my own seperated world in my private life. On TV highheels – privately sneakers.

Did you have a role model for your style?

My work as an actress had a big influence on my style.

In the media world the people are very easy and casual. For example men are wearing sneakers with their suits, there is a lot of mix and match of basics and designer clothes.

I have luck. The Stylists who equip me motivate myself to try new things.

How does your favorite style look like this summer and for this coming winter season?

This summer white sneakers have been a must for me. I have decided for sneakers from Stan Smith from Adidias.

In winter I am looking forward wearing boots, oversized jackets and chashmere caps.

How would do you define style?

Style is a very personal instrument to express yourself.

Is there something you would never wear?

Hm, …as long as I can be myself, I adaapt myself.

Who are your favorite designers?

I love to mix but very often I find something at Zara, Drykorn, Maje and AllSaints.

Where would you like to live?

Everywhere, where my family stays. In general I like Europe.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?

Health, my family, my friends, sun, music.

Which mistakes do you excuse from others?

I am not resentful.

Which are your personal strengths?

Reliable, tough, sustained, likeable and freedom-loving.

What do you most value in your friends?

I take friendship very seriously, try to be reliable and to be open for problems of my friends. Vice versa I am happy about the same. Some of my friends I already have over many years.

Your biggest failure?

I love sweets!

What is it that you most dislike?

Intolerance

Your motto?

It will always turn out to be good.

Who are your favourite painters?

Chagall

Your favourite music?

Soul, hip hop and at the moment I also like German singers.

What is your favourite activity?

Real freetime with my kids, to meet friends, sport and listen to music.

What kind of sports are you doing?

Jogging and weight training.

Music, something to read, a ticket back home
